Gmail is, in my opinion, the best free email provider and also probably the most secure. Gmail has everything you need to be able to manage e-mail in a smooth and easy way. So if you don't have Gmail, my advice to you is to get it. 

In this article, I will describe a technique that I use that improves my structure around e-mail and at the same time creates conditions for improving SEO on my Joomla website. 

I've previously advocated using a keyword or brand name when registering Gmail. This is because it facilitates building good seo. 

So we start by creating a Gmail that can be tied to a keyword relevant to an industry, niche or brand, or alternatively a company name.

Example “existing” hypothetical addresses:

painter@gmail…..

paintmaster@gmail..

hotel@gmail….

hotell@gmail….

hotel-Luxembourg@gmail…

Luxembourg-hotell@gmail..

When this is done, the next phase follows, namely creating sub gmail addresses that are related to the existing email address. Creating sub gmail addresses can be done easily by adding a + to the existing email address including sub name. If you give one of your Gmail sub-addresses to someone and they choose to reply to this, the reply will be sent to the existing Gmail address. 

Example hypothetical “subaddresses”:

painter+floor@gmail…

painter+London@gmail….

painter+UnitedKingdom@gmail….

hotel+Luxembourg@gmail…

hotell+Luxembourg@gmail

hotel+fivestar@gmail..

hotell+fivestar@gmail..

Etc…….

The point of this is to build one or more clouds with Gmail addresses that contain keywords for the industry or brand to be marketed on the internet/ Google. Start from the existing Gmail address and then branch this out into sub-addresses that are relevant based on the relevant keyword, brand name, industry, niche.

In the next phase, you can use the sub-addresses in e.g. contact forms that are published on a web page that contains information that can be related to the keyword and sub-name in the Gmail address. 

In my case, I have a Gmail sub address for each country's category on my Joomla webpage and for that I have a unique contact form. 

So if I publish an article focusing on Luxembourg then I use my contact form which is linked to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I publish the contact form at the end of the article on my Joomla website. Furthermore, I can create filters, categories and autoresponders in Gmail in order to structure and improve seo even more.

By using this "digital marketing technique" Google gets first information through what is published on the website and in the next step if someone chooses to send information via the Gmail subaddress directly or via contact form, Google receives information via that or those channels. *This gives Google indications that in the next step creates the possibility of a improved and sharpened search engine optimization by using Gmail address.

The larger the cloud of Gmail sub-addresses used and sub-addresses containing relevant keywords, the clearer it will be to Google to understand what kind of information is objective and therefore most likely also improves the indexing of the information in the Google search engine. 

That is the information is ranked and visible in the right place when someone searches on Google for the keywords found in the web page's content as well as in the Gmail sub-addresses that are linked to published contact forms, autoresponders, etc. 

The Gmail function can also be used in connection with various registrations/ verifications on the internet, for example when an account is created on a website and when the user does not want to provide their existing Gmail address, in online recruitment processes where the recruiter requires e-mail verification, etc.
